- Routes
See the climbs and surfaces before you set out.
How steep is that climb? How much gravel lies ahead? The expanded route views help you judge a ride before setting out. Dedicated route pages add photos and upcoming rides on the same route.
Understand climbs and surfaces
The route view highlights individual climbs rather than only showing the total ascent. Check how long and steep a climb is. Where the relevant Komoot data is available, you can also see the proportions of different surfaces and sections marked as unsuitable. Uploaded GPX files show climbs; they do not automatically include surface data.
Put a route in context
Open a route page from a ride, run or club route. Find its map, elevation profile and other details alongside photos from public rides and runs on that route. Relevant upcoming rides and runs show when others are using it. If a ride catches your eye, open it to see whether you would like to join.
Build on routes you already know
My routes was already part of Joinride. The web now gives you more ways to maintain that collection: upload a GPX without creating a ride first, give it your own name or start a new ride or run with the route selected. On the web, you can also zoom into a particular part of the elevation profile. In the app, open and share route pages from your collection.
